The Department encourages majors and minors to study abroad, and supports undergraduate research through independent studies, honors thesis option, awards, CURF programs, and organizing the annual undergraduate research conference, The Slavic Bazaar. There is also our own Student Travel Fund.
In addition to these programs, Penn Global Research Institutes offers an opportunity to conduct research in Europe alongside Penn faculty, focusing on how Russia’s Invasion of Ukraine is changing Europe. More information is here.
