Prospective students interested in Russian and East Europan Studies at Penn may apply for a number of Ph.D. programs. The members of the Department of REES and of the Graduate Group in REES contribute to the training of outstanding graduate students in various fields and disciplines. We encourage interested candidates to apply to Penn’s doctoral programs in Anthropology, Comparative Literature and Literary Theory, History, Political Science, and Sociology to pursue specializations involving Russian and East European Studies. Additionally, the Lauder Institute of the Wharton School offers an M.A. in International Studies in which students can specialize in Russian and East European Studies.
