Funding: Penn-EUSP Dual M.A. in REES

Thanks to generous support from Polymetal International Plc., a limited number of fellowships will be available on a competitive basis for applicants to the program, including citizens of Russia, the USA, and other countries. Fellowships will cover tuition for study in the Penn-EUSP Dual M.A. in REES (and a living stipend for Russian citizens both in Philadelphia and in St. Petersburg). Fellowships will be awarded competitively in the course of the application process. 

Startup of this program at the University of Pennsylvania has been made possible by a seed grant from the Carnegie Corporation of New York.  

Penn-EUSP Dual M.A. in REES Program costs are as follows:

  • Year One Tuition at Penn: $48,851*
  • Year One registration at EUSP: 80,000 RUB (about $1000 at current exchange rates)
  • Summer intensive language tuition at EUSP: $2000⁺
  • Year Two Tuition at EUSP: 1,550,000 RUB (about $19,000 at current exchange rates)
  • Year Two registration at Penn: $1078*

*All figures shown are 2021-22 costs; tuition typically increases by 3.9% per year

Students should also anticipate:

  • Living costs in Philadelphia for 10 months, travel costs to St. Petersburg, summer travel and living expenses (this will vary depending on your research location), and living costs in St. Petersburg for 10 months.
