Wrangel Island is located in the Arctic Ocean at a distance of about 150 miles from the mainland. Crossed by the 180th meridian, it is located in both the western and eastern hemispheres at the same time. Wrangel Island, which is on the list of natural sites in Russia that are difficult to reach, has a large population of polar bears, musk oxen, deer, and walruses.
