Ships Graveyard, Moynaq, Uzbekistan

Moynaq used to be a bustling fishing community in Uzbekistan made up of tens of thousands of residents, but with the Aral Sea having dried up, the city has become a ghost town, also known as the ships graveyard. The cause of Aral's drought were damaging irrigation projects from the 1960s, and now the nearest shoreline to Moynaq is 150 kilometers away. The only attraction left are the rusting fishing boats, a souvenir from the city's prosperous past.
